Estampas de Mexico album cover

"Traditional Music From Mexico" Estampas de Mexico
EUCD2188

This recording comprises no less than 24 tracks, and delivers a whole hour of music. The group, Estampas de Mexico, was formed in 1998 in order to spread the traditions and culture of Mexico worldwide. This CD represents songs from the various regions of Mexico, and opens with the up tempo El Herradero, from western Mexico, and written by Pedro Galindo. Whilst some songs will seem familiar to many, such as La Bamba, a traditional song from eastern Mexico, and La Cucaracha, another traditional song performed a capella, many are likely to be heard for the first time. Check out La Norteña, another traditional song from north western Mexico. If you are a fan of Mexican music then this is worth a listen.
